Kristal Audio Engine is just what you've been waiting for to record, edit, mix and re-master your digital audio. It has been designed in modules and each window is independent so you can mould the program as you want. The main application is the mixing desk, while the equalizer and player are adjacent.

The mixer supports 16 tracks that can be in WAVE, AIFF, FLAC and OGG Vorbis. With the Live-in you can connect your external devices such as a mic or a guitar and apply effects in real time. Among the effects are echo, reverb, sound crystallization and layering.

Thus, you can create your own samples by introducing sounds and inserting them like loops (similar to the famous Acid Pro).
